Entrance hall and a first sight into this captivating residence; All reception rooms lead off from here including the drawing room, with beautiful outlook over the landscaped gardens, a relaxing place to unwind by the warming open fire; the open-plan kitchen / dining area is flooded with light and with french doors out to the garden, the hand crafted kitchen which has slate surfaces from Coniston Old Man, perfect! On the ground floor there is a 2nd reception room / tv room and a cloakroom housing the 4th WC / wash basin.
Upstairs to the bedrooms and where the views get even better. This superb Lake District holiday residence in the Troutbeck Valley offers a unique opportunity for families or friends to 'get away from it all', without straying far from the Lake District's tourist attractions and other scenic highlights. Troutbeck is one of the Lake District's quieter villages, set in blissful rural surroundings between Ambleside and Windermere, and right at the start of the famous Kirkstone Pass which provides your scenic route to Ullswater. The valley is laced with renowned Lake District walks, and scattered with traditional Lakeland cottages and the local pub (The fabulous Mortal Man Inn is literally a short walk away!). It's a truly magical scene.
Windermere village is only a short drive away, with shops, restaurants and an excellent Booths supermarket for stocking up the kitchen. Drive only a couple of miles further and you'll reach Bowness on Lake Windermere's eastern shores. There you'll find an array of evening entertainment, boating activities, the Royalty Cinema and the Old Laundry Theatre. A little further to your west is Ambleside, on Lake Windermere's northern shores.
