The owners respectfully point out that the road to Wynford is very narrow and as such extra care is required when driving to the cottage. It is also the case that due to the narrow lane supermarket delivery vans cannot deliver to the house and so it is recommended that if you need shopping from a supermarket you visit the popular Booths supermarket, ten minutes by car, in Windermere where you will be able to buy all you could need.
Wynford is a short walk from the centre of Ambleside. Ambleside village is located on the northern shores of Lake Windermere. The surrounding scenery of Lakeland Fells is dramatic, and lends a stunning backdrop to the Lakeland stone buildings and attractive streets of the village.
