You'll find plenty of options for memorable evenings out only a stone's throw from your door and with no need to use your car.
A short stroll out of the village centre takes you to Waterhead Pier, where Windermere Lake Cruises depart to Bowness and Lakeside. A great way to explore and admire the scenery without even using your car.
Numerous renowned Lake District walks begin in or around Ambleside village, and experts are on hand in specialists shops to get you equipped and provide route advice. There are also some excellent country pubs to return to after a day on the fells or for a lazy Sunday lunch.
