Situated in the heart of the Lake District there are a myriad walks from the door, follow in the footsteps of William Wordsworth and enjoy an afternoon stroll to Grasmere, the more adventurous might head out onto Fairfield Horseshoe a favourite of many a Lakeland Fell walker and if you believe a little effort deserves a reward why not watch sunset from the top of the nearby Loughrigg Fell!

Enter Far Nook from the driveway and the hall way leads to a cosy TV lounge, with a beautiful fire place with living flame stove, an elegant lounge ideal for every occasion, with a large bay window with views to the garden and a log burning stove. The kitchen is well appointed with plenty of work surfaces and storage. The range cooker offers five gas hobs and double electric oven and is the ideal place to prepare everything from a hearty breakfast to Christmas Dinner! The dining table has views out to Loughrigg through bi-fold doors and a picture window facing Wansfell.
The large ground floor king size bedroom offers a welcoming retreat at the end of the day and it is complemented with an ensuite shower room, including walk in rainfall shower. The property is bright and airy throughout but this is especially so in the generous south facing sunroom which is the ideal spot to enjoy a good book or the weekend newspapers. There is an additional guest toilet on the ground floor.
Heading upstairs there are a further three bedrooms. The dual aspect king size master bedroom has an ensuite shower room and a twin bedroom, with views to the garden, has an ensuite bathroom. Finally, there is a comfortable double bedroom and adjacent family bathroom with rainfall shower over the bath. All bedrooms have a TV with built in DVD player.
The gardens wrap around the south corner of the property and mature planting provides privacy. With lawns, herbaceous borders, shrubs, trees, a small pond with a water feature this really is a beautiful place to sit and relax or to enjoy a BBQ on a summer's evening. A summer house provides shelter for those warm days with an occasional rain shower! To the front of the property, within the grounds, there is parking for three cars and an additional three cars could also be parked on the driveway if required. To the rear of the property there is a lockable shed that is available for guests to use to store mountain bikes or canoes.

The surrounding scenery of Lakeland Fells is dramatic, and lends a stunning backdrop to the Lakeland stone buildings and attractive streets of the village. One of the Lake District's most sophisticated communities, Ambleside village is alive with interesting local businesses, shops, cinema and acclaimed Lake District restaurants and pubs.
Larger groups or families will love the freedom this location brings. Stroll to the shops or out for a coffee, then wander to Waterhead Pier to take a cruise on the lake. Windermere Lake Cruises depart regularly from Waterhead Pier (just outside the village centre) and provide a scenic and car free route to Bowness and Lakeside. A fabulous way for all to explore.
For walking, Ambleside is renowned as a hub for enthusiasts. Numerous famous routes begin close by, and a wide range of strolls take in breath-taking scenery without having to travel too far. Ambleside is well stocked with outdoor shops and route information is widely available.
By night, you'll find plenty to entertain. Catch a film at one of the two cinemas, enjoy a drink on the shores of the lake or sample some of our region's finest dining - all just a stroll from your doorstep! The A591 winds its way from Ambleside to Grasmere and Keswick, branching off to Coniston and such delights as the Langdale Valley and Hawkshead .
