Or you can visit Grizedale forest – just 3 miles from the village – it is well worth a visit. Pop into the Visitor centre for guided trails to various parts of the forest. Cycle hire is also a must to test your skills and a great day out for all levels of cyclist. There are a range of waymarked trails that will lead you and your party around the forest on forest roads and tracks.
