A Shepherds Tale, by James Rebanks, is a perfect summer holiday book! It’s the evocative story of the author’s life in the Lake District. In contrast, you may choose to delve into the Lake District’s romantic past by selecting something by William Wordsworth, enjoyed on a “breezeless summer night” to the sound of returning summer swallows and busy honey bees.
