    The views from the upper floor are amazing . The snug is lovely with a really comfortable sofa. The kitchen was really well equipped with plenty of crockery and cutlery. The bedrooms are spacious with comfortable beds and spacious bathrooms. The property is up a steep hill so be prepared!

A soothing open-plan living space, with separate games / quiet room, makes the ideal environment for relaxed gatherings or sociable occasions. Two couples or a family can spread out and relax without treading on any toes; the two superbly chic bedrooms have their own luxurious bathroom facilities. ==Accommodation in detail Driveway leads to private parking adjacent to the cottage. Entrance hall with elegant wooden floor and access to the two ground floor king size bedrooms (each with its own television); the king size with luxury en-suite shower room and the super king size room with separate luxury bathroom. The super king can be made into a twin room so please specify how you would like this when making your reservation. Utility area also on ground floor with storage space for walking gear. Superb Ash staircase leads to open-plan living room with a 40" widescreen HD TV (including a Blue Ray Player and HD recorder), stereo (including an IPod / iPhone dock, which also operators as a charger), sumptuous sofas and designer furnishings (including a dining table which seats 4), and Juliette balcony doors providing unimpeded access to that wonderful view. The modern kitchen is well-equipped even for entertaining. A separate games / quiet room provides for an HD television and PlayStation 3 entertainment along with a selection of Books, DVD's and CD's or simply a place to relax and gaze at that view. Windermere Train Station 1.5 miles: Ambleside 5 miles; Kendal 7 miles.

The vibrant twin towns of Bowness and Windermere hold enduring appeal for visitors to the Lake District National Park, with each providing a range of nearby attractions, amenities, shops and restaurants to suit all tastes. A variety of boat trips and boat hire are available from Windermere Lake Cruises in Bowness to Brockhole, Ambleside and Lakeside (at the southern end of the lake where the Lakeside Aquarium and the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway are situated). The World of Beatrix Potter attraction and the Old Laundry theatre are 1.5 miles away. Orrest Head, where Alfred Wainwright was inspired to write his series of iconic guidebooks, is a 30-minute walk to enjoy the spectacular panorama of far-reaching views over the lake and surrounding fells. Brockhole, which offers high wire tree top experiences, is less than two miles away, and the historic villages of Grasmere, Ambleside and Troutbeck are a short drive away. There are also a variety of watersports on offer for the more energetic at marine centres along the lake.
